What is it? How do I
register?
Newsline is a FREE, electronic text-to-speech national network that delivers both national and local newspapers, using synthetic speech, over conventional local telephone lines. A joint project of the National Federation of the Blind and the National Federation of the Blind of Florida, Newsline offers more than 100 national and local newspapers on your telephone, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. You will have access to today’s issue, yesterday’s, and the previous Sunday’s issue of each newspaper on the system.
What are some of the newspapers available?
Florida newspapers include the Bradenton Herald, Miami Herald, Orlando
Sentinel, Palm Beach Post, St. Petersburg Times, Tallahassee Democrat, and Tampa Tribune.
Besides some 100 local and regional newspapers, users will have access to such national newspapers as USA Today, the Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and the Christian Science Monitor.
If you are Not Registered with Talking Books,
but are legally blind or print handicapped, you must fill out an application
